Stoll’s Chief Executive completes the London Marathon
Talking about his experience of running the London Marathon, Ed Tytherleigh said:
“I really want to thank everybody for supporting my marathon effort. It has been overwhelming that so many people have got behind me with words of encouragement and donations.
My training in the snow and the cold didn’t really prepare me for the hottest London Marathon on record, but it did make me slow down and enjoy it more. My personal highlights are the amazing crowds who lined the streets, but more than that the conversations I had and the people I met going round. The individual stories that the runners bring with them are both moving and inspiring.
Which brings me back to why I did this in the beginning. The aim of this all along has been to raise the funds to support our new 34-home supported housing scheme for Veterans and their families in Aldershot. The official opening is just under a month away and the money raised is going to turn Centenary Lodge into a place that will inspire and change lives for disabled and vulnerable Veterans for many years to come.
There is, of course, always the opportunity to raise more – the donation page is still live and will be for a few weeks. You can still donate here.
Once again, I would like to thank everyone who made his happen and I hope you will continue to support Stoll and its work in the future.”
