Veterans’ Drop-In service goes from strength to strength

A unique Drop-In service for Veterans and their families in London continues to go from strength to strength thanks to a much-welcomed Covenant Grant provided just last month as part of the Armed Forces Covenant.

Stoll renewed its commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant, run by the Ministry of Defence, back in March this year.  The Covenant formalises various commitments to the Armed Forces Community – for Stoll, this means providing homes and additional support for vulnerable Veterans.

The monthly Drop-In sees on average 30 Veterans each session and provides a ‘one stop shop’ advice service, in partnership with other service organisations such as Help for Heroes, SSAFA and the Royal British Legion. The Drop-In service offers practical help, advice and support in a friendly and safe environment on a variety of issues including mental health, housing, employment, debt management and state benefits.

Forces TV recently came along to a Drop-In session to find out first-hand what’s on offer. Here’s the piece:

Stoll’s Drop-In is open every second Wednesday of the month from 4pm–7pm at Stoll Mansions, 446 Fulham Road, London SW6 1DT.
