Stoll is delighted to be working in partnership with arts charity WARpaint to offer a unique way for corporates to support the work of Stoll whilst providing a piece of corporate artwork to brighten and inspire any office space. The brainchild of portrait artist, Caroline de Peyrecave, WARpaint aims to raise funding for charities that support serving Veterans and serving personnel who are living with the devastating and life-changing effects of war. Caroline usually works by commission from her London studio and she is devoting her time to this project in order to help others.
The core of the project is a selection of life-size portraits of living sailors, soldiers and aircrew, men and women, representing conflicts that the United Kingdom has been involved in since the Second World War. Painted by Caroline, the pictures are now available to be loaned, in return for a donation, to companies and individuals with the proceeds raised are distributed to charities, such as Stoll, that support wounded Veterans.
Portraits can be leased for 1 to 12-month terms and portraits will be displayed along with information about the Veteran and their inspiring story of overcoming injury and adversity. Hosting a painting is a great opportunity for your company to show your support for Veterans whilst providing a talking piece in your office which highlights your corporate generosity. There is also the potential for Stoll to create some PR around the hosting of a portrait with the potential for us to visit your office with Veterans to engage staff and customers. Working with Stoll, WARpaint hopes to raise awareness of the effects of conflict through art and generating valuable funds for worthy charities. Utilising the therapeutic power of the art and how the experience has the ability to help injured Veterans, many of Caroline’s sitters find the sittings a chance to reflect on what has happened to them and how they are living their lives today. Caroline is particularly focusing on the positive side of what her sitters are doing now in their day to day lives. When they sit for her she asks open questions about what they have been through, allowing the conversation to be natural and comfortable.
