Richard Gammage succeeded Ed Tytherleigh as Chief Executive of Stoll in September 2020. Richard is passionate about supporting ex-Servicemen and women to be independent and has already enjoyed meeting some of our residents. An experienced senior leader, he has an extensive background in the Forces; he served in the Royal Air Force, latterly in the rank of air commodore. Prior to joining Stoll, he was the chief operating and finance officer (Bursar) with Lord Wandsworth College, a Foundation charity and limited company, in which he was also the Company Secretary.
He was previously Assistant Head of Royal Air Force training and, as a group captain, he commanded Royal Air Force Halton, during which time he was selected as UK representative on the United States Air Force Senior Leadership Course.
A graduate of Loughborough and Birmingham Universities, and a Qualified Teacher, Richard has extensive qualifications, including 2 masters’ degrees. His continuous professional development includes financial and project management, equal opportunities, ICT, safeguarding, safety management and HR.

Director of Housing
Nick joined Stoll in 2021 and has worked in the social housing sector for 30 years at housing associations and local authorities. He has lead responsibility for housing management, asset management and resident engagement across all of Stoll’s schemes. He is a corporate member of the Chartered Institute of Housing.
Director of Services
Claire Bendall joined us as Head of Services, leading the Support Services at Stoll, managing the support services across the 4 sites, the Health and Wellbeing Team plus the Veterans Nomination Scheme. Claire has over 30 years experience in the Health and Social Care sector, mainly working within Adult Social Care in Local Authorities.
She has worked in a variety of services including resettlement, outreach, day opportunities, re-ablement, extra care, supported living plus residential care. Throughout her career, Claire has focused on supporting people with a range of needs to remain in their own homes, be part of their local communities, staying safe and well, whilst enabling individuals to be as independent as possible.
Director of Corporate Services
Sarah joined Stoll in 2014 and brings 15 years management experience in the Charity and Not for Profit sectors; specialising in Business Administration, Contract Management and Quality Assurance. Previous successes include the achievement of Investors in People Award, Matrix and Mentoring and Befriending Approved Provider Status. As part of the senior management team, Sarah leads on the areas of governance, organisational resourcing and staff development.
Director of Finance (CMA)
Amanda leads our finance department working with partners, investors and major financial institutions.Amanda is a member of Stoll’s senior management team and has particular responsibility for financial planning relating to development activity. She is the organisation’s accountable person for effective management of Stoll’s finances. Amanda joined Stoll in 2013 and has 26 years of financial experience, 16 of which included blue-chip organisations Sara Lee, Anglo American, Nampak and Mineral Technologies.
Director of Fundraising & Communications
Beverley joined Stoll in 2015 and brings with her 20 years of fundraising experience in the Charity Sector working for both National and Regional organisations. She has managed fundraising teams since 2004 and is a member of the Institute of Fundraising.
